This lamp works fine. I like the three highlight settings. The brightness varies from very bright to dim. Maneuverability is somewhat limited and sometimes it is difficult to place the lamp exactly where I want it. There are knobs that can be turned to increase tightness. The reason I only gave it four stars is that the clips themselves do not stay in the actual mount and it is very difficult to fit lens mounts. The arms don't bend well either. I almost returned this item but I ordered two more to make sure they were the best quality which they are not so I kept this one. The increase is big. I don't usually need glasses to see up close, but I work with beads so the extra magnification helps me see what I'm doing and be accurate. Overall a great product at a good price. I will buy separate equipment to keep my project to myself. I think their name is 3rd Hand? Edit: I bought it in May. It's November and the hand has come off the base. The metal is very thin and will not withstand any movement. I initially gave it 4 stars but changed it due to the poor design and material quality.
