This stand is versatile and easy to use. Although it's not hinged on either side or both sides for ease of patch panel installation and lead stamping, I was able to flip my patch panel over to stamp leads, then unscrew it and snap it into place. The side panels slide out for easy cable management and can then be adjusted to the depth required for your gear. The only issue I had was with the mounting hardware. While running the mounting hardware, the mounting holes on the back were centered 15-15.5 inches. This didn't bother me as I simply installed a pair of 1x4s cut to length on 16" center studs and attached the post to it with various bolts and washers. The rack handles all my gear perfectly with 1U of headroom.
