Let's assume, purely hypothetically, that I bought the device in December 2017 as a gift for an ungrateful person. In September 2018, this most ungrateful person made me angry, so naturally I decided to destroy this Bose column. I poured water on it but noticed the water beaded off. Then I dipped it in water and watched until little bubbles formed. I took it off and put it back on. The next day, the same ungrateful person plays music with perfect sound quality from that damn speaker. Purely hypothetically, of course, of course Bose has won a loyal customer in me.
