After a long search I decided on the graphic design of this monitor. I've watched countless videos and read many reviews. Nothing seemed perfect. I desperately need my old 27" Apple Cinema! I got rid of them both and decided I had to move on.) This monitor really was the only one I could aesthetically endure, but I was concerned because I read in the reviews about some Color issues I wanted to spend under $500 Dell has high reviews but they were more expensive and didn't look as good Forward to my experience and solving some of the issues I saw in the reviews: 1) Some Reviewers said the stand is flimsy It's not as big and sturdy as a Mac stand but it's good and solid enough No issues here 2) One reviewer mentioned that her display was a bit tilted and she did couldn't align it.a bit but just put some muscle in it and got it done with no problems.3) The font on the y display was too big.I found a setting in the system settings to make it smaller, now it looks nice and clear. 4) Some have mentioned that the color is off, they are too bright and saturated, almost neon. I have experienced it. To fix this, I followed the recommendation of some reviewers and turned off the "High Dynamic Range" option in the display settings. 5) Also, it was confusing when I first connected the display. A menu related to the display (so not controlled by my Mac) asked me to select "OK". I wouldn't be able to do this without my Mac cursor. That's when I discovered the important power button and settings switch on the monitor under the LG logo. The controls on this switch are very clunky, but after spending about 15 minutes with it I could see where I could adjust the brightness and a few other settings. 6) This monitor comes with speakers, but you can't control the sound from your Macbook. Above. Since I use this at home for work, I was disappointed when I tried to listen to a podcast and the sound on the display was too loud. The adjustment with the settings under the LG logo on the display is available, but tedious. So I went into System Preferences on my Mac and changed the setting back to "Macbook Pro Speakers" so the audio now comes through my MacBook and I can easily adjust the audio. So if like me you use this for work/design you might as well save some money and get a speakerless version. So bottom line, it took me about an hour fiddling with the settings to get a good looking image. that fits my MacBook Pro. I just received the monitor today so I'll update this review if I run into any issues. (I'm not adding that this means I like the monitor and it's great for my needs as a graphic designer.)
