Review on Helmet Mirror for HubBub: Enhancing Safety and Visibility by Mike Robinson

Safe at last!: Cycling

I examined the helmet mirrors after realizing that the handlebar mirrors were loose and unreliable. I had a cheap mirror that matched the glasses and it moved and vibrated which also made it unreliable. I had to watch a video of this mirror to figure out how to attach it as it doesn't seem to fit the way it does. When I saw this everything went smoothly and the visor on my Bell helmet was easy to put back on too. I had laser eye surgery many years ago and my left eye is the near eye. Of course, that's the side the cars are on, so I now wear prescription sunglasses that required me to focus my left eye for the distance. Ideal. A good quality glass mirror, big enough to see behind you and small enough to look around. I think if it were smaller I would have to split my attention between what's in front of me and what's behind me. It's easy to adjust when I need it when I hit it after storing the helmet and I don't have to worry about it moving and vibrating. If I get another helmet it will be easy to attach it to the new one. Now I feel more confident behind the wheel and don't spend as much time worrying about cars sneaking up on me. I think the price is fair and the quality is very good.
