I wanted to try another option to connect to the internet while traveling in the country. I have been using Winegard products for 2 years now. It was just slow and unreliable. I ordered this product in 5G and they shipped it the next day. The unboxing was successful and the product was relatively easy to install and set up. Don't get me wrong, I'm a former IT manager who installed similar equipment across our fleet. I had a real problem connecting to a cell phone provider. A help request sent directly to Peplink. They immediately redirected me to 5G for support. I didn't like it very much, but 5G and especially Roger joined me to solve the problems. I give 5G a solid 5 stars for excellent customer service and fantastic delivery times. Well done, I will definitely recommend this company in the future. After my experience with Peplink Tech support, they really listened to me and understood my frustration. I hope that in the future they will work better and become owners. What I like about this product compared to Cradlepoint IBR 900 and Winegard Connect T. I have years of experience with both. Advantages 1) The cost of this device is much higher compared to the Cradlepoint. fewer. 2) Small size (almost the same size as Cradlepoint and much smaller than Winegard) 3) Excellent cellular throughput. (Winegard is terrible and unreliable.) Cons 1) Support needs to make some changes 2) It currently ships with WIFI disabled and blocked for WAP. (The feature costs an additional $100). This was a big problem during installation as I was unable to connect to cellular service at the time. If this feature were available, it would make troubleshooting a lot easier. 3) The website is not that user friendly and it was a hassle to find what I was looking for. All in all, I've been running and testing this product for a few days now. Impressed with the performance as it is a huge improvement over Winegard. Adding a $100 license add-on gives you some features that can be helpful but aren't required. Hope this helps and I'll try to come back with some updates. Today I'm testing what advantages external antennas will have. It's hard to verify where we already have a great cell signal. I will reconsider my opinion on their tech support and increase the rating if I see improvements.
