I used this cable adapter to connect a set of computer speakers to my flat screen TV. I put them next to my father's chair, who has a hearing problem, so the sound shouldn't be too loud for others in the room. This cable plugged directly into the audio out of the TV and I was able to connect computer speakers with a 3.5mm jack to this adapter. Please note that the AUX output on this TV (Visio) has a fixed volume and does not change with the volume controls or mute on the main TV. That was fine with this app as PC speakers have their own volume control for my dad to use. This will be released with a separate soundbar speaker, but not a separate sound booster sound system with its own remote control. It was a TV design and the cable had nothing to do with it. This cable was well made, with thick wires and well formed. Although the photo shows gold colored contacts, the ones I received were silver colored on both ends. My delivery took about 21 days as the cables were shipped directly from Asia via international mail.
