For some reason Mercedes doesn't cast the hex nut to remove the oil filter housing (like my 2017 C-300) on the 2017 GLE 350. I hesitantly used a strap wrench when changing the oil, tried an oil grade stamped steel wrench or two, but they didn't grip the plastic housing enough to remove it. This product fits snugly and works great - I'm no longer afraid of crushing the case with a belt wrench. Didn't have high hopes for a $10 tool but this keeper did.
