I only use my coffee grinder for coffee/French press and it was perfect for that. I didn't have any of the negative issues mentioned in other reviews. The grind fineness selector lever is still there, bean selection affects how much static chaff is generated, oily beans don't generate them at all, lightly roasted dry beans do generate them, but I found it still didn't go away. of a prefabricated pot, only removing the lid allows escape, if this is done over the pot, the chaff does not fall on the countertop. I've also never had a problem with beans getting stuck in the hopper since the machine vibrates just enough to move them south. The machine is fast and accurate, I measure out 4 heaping scoops to make 8 cups and the machine is done. Grind within fractions of a second after the last grain. Compared to manual grinding: I like how quick it is, how easy it is to adjust the grinding degree, I especially like that multiple coffee pots are not a chore for guests. We recommend.
