I am afraid to write this review. If everyone knew how good these compounds are for making COVID masks, it would all be gone in a second. This yarn is strong, stretchy but not too stretchy and wide enough to give my ties the weight and fit that are critical to a safe homemade COVID face mask. I used to spend as much time making mask straps out of fabric as I did on the mask itself. It was expensive in time and fabric. Then I came up with the idea of using jersey t-shirts cut to tie. As a lifelong knitter and seamstress, I went online and found this wonderful yarn! My masks are more snug and comfortable than my 100% cotton ties. The strand is HUGE. I mean HUGE! I highly recommend this yarn. Buy it before it's sold. I came back for more and they have already sold out of the black one I ordered previously. This time I'll take the Blue Marines. You will not regret it.
