Review on πŸš€ Boost Your Chevy/GMC (Colorado, Canyon) 2.8L L4 Diesel: K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for High Performance and Increased Horsepower - 63-3095 by Drew Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

K&N quality, but acoustic. It is different.

Loud. partly because the truck is so quiet to begin with. There's a 2.8-litre groan/hum from around 1500-2200 rpm and then a circulating turbine sucking noise. You only hear the sweet squeak of a turbine with the windows down, in the garage, or on the Jersey railing. Outsiders can hear it. You can not. It's really impossible to dismantle the buttoned turbine, it just sucks on the passenger shield, Bose can't solve anything, but not quite what I expected, but okay, you can still speak, not intrusive. There is an MPG improvement. light, but the truck is a little more responsive and a little fatter when towing. I glued some acoustic foam in the airbox and it helped. So I'll probably keep it, but I've considered installing the original airbox with just the K&N panel. Nice. CAI still works after about 10,000 km.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
