Review on SILCA ๐Ÿšฒ SEAT Capsule Primio by Scott Rodriguez

Seems like it's good. until you lose it

This saddlebag has several good qualities. And there are some really lame design elements that ruin everything. The hard seat bag idea is great - you can REALLY stuff this thing completely. Yes, the zipper is tight, but that's a good thing - I don't want it to rattle open and spill all my emergency supplies onto the street, causing even more trouble for the people behind me. I have two inner tubes, three CO2 cartridges, a park multi-tool, tire boots, two tire levers, a good Lezyne Pro CO2 pump, some rubber gloves, some tissues and a few other small items. Yes, it all fits in if you organize it well. I used the seat pod a few times on my 'old' bike and then it was new bike day. I transferred the seat pod to the new bike and was on my way. The seat pod traveled about 10 miles and fell off the bike when it hit a bump in the road. You will never see him again. In fact, this has happened twice already - the boa really dangles and will come loose if you look at it from the wrong direction, not to mention a bump. The difference is that if the boa constrictor opened up before, I was able to safely stop and fix it. Considering the cost of the bag, hoses, and tools inside, I lost about $200 when the bag flew off my bike. DISSATISFIED. .Why should I give two stars? Well I like the rigidity of the bag - I think it can work. It's worth one star. Another star for the quality of the material and construction - it's well made, even with the stiff zipper. Otherwise, I cannot in good conscience recommend this seat bag. The boa constrictor isn't reliable enough for me to trust. The same goes for the seat roll, but it has other issues besides the boa constrictor. problem
