Review on Sparkle and Shine: 80 Neon Glitter Gel Pens for Adult Coloring, Scrapbooking, and DIY Art Projects by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

WOW! Insanely cool pens!

I'm just still impressed with the quality of these gel pens! I'm somewhat of a connoisseur of gel pens, especially glitter pens, so I've tried all the glitter gel pens offered here at Revain. I'm not even joking. I have a serious problem. I have my favorites and my unfavorites and surprisingly the price of a pen or brand has never been a reliable measure of quality so I don't know why these pens surprised me. However, they certainly did. These pens are so smooth, so shiny and so reliable! Just like that, with a few strokes of a pen, they instantly became one of my favorite brands! With gel pens there are several different factors for me, that determine their high quality. Flow, smoothness, color brilliance, shine, durability, color choice, replacement parts, comfort and price (to name just a few) are particularly important to me and I base my quality rating on them. Flow: These holds flow like a silk scarf. in the wind and are quite comparable to the best of the best ballpoint pens. I had no gaps, bubbles, scratches, leaks or anything like that. Not even with one hand. This is really unusual as there is usually a lousy apple in every pack of every brand. Smoothness: like butter. Color brightness: variable. This set has both very bright and saturated colors, and more natural ones. I will say that the bright ones in this set are not the brightest of those I've come across, but nonetheless they are bright and clear. Personally, I often paint in natural colors and prefer neutral tones. Glitter: There are two brands that have the most brilliance I've ever seen. All other brands seem to be about the same in terms of the amount of shine. These gel pens contain about the same amount of glitter as the top two. I love glitter! Longevity: I'll go back and update this as I haven't used the whole pen yet. However, I can say that things are going well on that front. From the moment you start using a pen you can pretty much tell how quickly the ink fades and it seems like it will last for a while being on the more conservative end of the spectrum. Usually this makes the grip less smooth than those that leak, but that's not the case with these guys. They are still very smooth! Another reason I think they will last is because the ink tube is very full and the body is larger than a standard gel pen. Color Choices: I bought an 80 pack (there is also a 48 pack) and the color choices are quite good. similar to everyone else. There are a few unique colors, but they mostly match the other brands. However, there isn't a lot of color difference in this pack and I'd really like to see more from this company in the future. Even though no two shades of a color are the same, they're still pretty darn close to the same shades. For myself, with so many different brands of pens, I'm looking for new and different colors that I don't have yet, but if this is going to be someone's main set of pens, there's definitely more than enough of every color you could ever need. . .Refills: Spare parts are important to me to be able to buy them separately without having to buy a whole set of new pens for cost reasons. I don't think replacement parts come with this kit, but they're also cheap enough that it doesn't really matter. Comfort: I prefer larger pens with tight caps and comfortable grip pads. These pens have it all! Price: This is the cheapest pack I have ever bought for this size. Wonderful! Some other factors may be more important to others. Storage is a good example. I don't mind cause I have my own storage system but they come like most others in the annoying standard folding plastic box. I can't stand these packs haha but they work in a pinch! In any case, I'd rather pay for the quality in the pen than the packaging! Result:
