Review on 🔌 Delphi Metri-Pack Waterproof Connector with 2 Pin Terminals and Seals - 10-12awg, 46Amp (10-12 GA-2 Set) by Amy Cook

This connector is well made and probably not a problem for 12 gauge wire. But the 10 gauge has a few problems. Judging by the size of the holes in the rubber grommets covering the male and female sides, it was clear something was needed to get through them. I removed the pointed end of a mechanical pencil, slipped it onto the end of the 10ga wire, smeared some lube (olive oil was the closest thing back then) onto the tip, and pushed it right through the sleeve. Very easy. I'm trying to find a way to post an image here, but there doesn't seem to be a hotspot here. Also, I soldered the connectors instead of leaving a crimp to hold them. Insulation deformation was not observed for high-temperature silicone wires.
