where to start. The Jeep Wrangler's stock hood latches leave a lot to be desired. As you may know, at certain speeds, the entire hood vibrates and makes an awful noise. Also, the standard hood latches are flimsy and easily discolored in the sun. Luckily, this set is very easy to install and very affordable. They are immediately attached with 3 screws. One bolt on the lower half of the latch and two on the hood itself. You will remove three nuts and replace them with the ones in this kit. They fly up. Before fully tightening, make sure you have aligned the two pieces, then tighten. Pros: Metal construction. The black color does not seem to fade. The bonnet no longer flaps. Looks great. I will update this review if anything comes up. Anyone with a 2007-18 JK Jeep should use this hood latch. This is not a problem.
