I'm not happy at all and I'm worried because I don't know what.

I was delighted when I received the item, after sorting and hanging clothes on hangers for several hours I found that all the hangers were covered with a white powdery substance , I'm not sure if it was dust or what. I had to take a closet full of clothes off the hangers and wash the hangers, and now wash all the clothes. generally not very happy and concerned as i don't know what white matter is
