We've protected all corners of the camper so it doesn't rub against the lid in any way; However, the very first wind that caught the side seam ripped it apart. It's been less than a month. Too expensive for a year! If you have a lot of rain it is not waterproof as advertised. Has the ability to shed water; however, but eventually it reaches its saturation point when water flows through it! Edit 03/07/2020 The lid should have had a three-year guarantee. The company wants a 40% refund the first time you contact them about a problem. They will then ask for a 60% refund and inform the buyer that it is costly to replace it on their part if you tell them you are not happy with the 40% refund (we only wanted to replace the cap and we haven't looked for a refund), they will state that sending a replacement is expensive and will offer you to buy it from Revain (who invests more?) They state that it takes a very long time for the new cover to arrive (leading me to believe they are from Asia). After several emails, the company simply returned the money. It took their customer support team about three days to make initial contact (use their email, not the contact form) and they responded within 1-2 days of your email so at least they don't ignore emails ; However, they did admit that they were aware of the open seam issue, which annoys me.
