I found it to be very easy to fit to our boat's windshield with its thick (maybe 1 inch) stainless steel frame. I like not having to constantly turn and crane my neck to see if other boats are approaching from behind. We don't tow skiers or tubing but because of the good viewing angle I thought it would be very useful for that too. When we leave our boat, we usually close the cockpit hatch. The mirror has to be dismantled. It only takes a few seconds to detach and reattach the mirror and it is strong/sturdy. I accidentally dropped it a couple of times on the deck next to the rudder: no problem. It's also very easy to change the viewing angle, so (e.g. when switching from sitting to standing) making minor adjustments is easier. Simple: it seems to need just enough friction to keep it from moving when you don't want it to, but moving when you want it to. Highly recommended
