It didn't work for us.

Too bad! When we tried it on our boat and found it didn't fit, the return window was closed. The mirror appears to be of good quality but the mounting is such that it does not hold securely to the window. What we need is a mirror that fits on top of the tower, and this one doesn't have a handle to make that possible. If the spot on the boat where you want to attach it has a protrusion, the transom will slide off. The only area where the mirror can be secured with foam pads for extra support is…

This transom is a must have for your boat!

Great addition to my ski/boat boat. I didn't realize how much I needed it until I installed it. Big enough to get a good view behind my boat without turning around. The mirror offers a slightly enlarged view and a very clear image. The large size is what you need to really see and I'm glad I didn't settle for smaller ones. Now I can quickly see what's going on when towing. In my setup it is mounted above the windshield and I have to remove it to use the convertible top. It can be uninstalled…

I was disappointed after only one boat trip.

I wanted to buy this product because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that after only one boat trip, the mirror flew into the water. Luckily it fell into the boat and I was able to salvage all parts. However, the screw holding the mirror to the windshield had snapped off. It appears to be well made, but half of the screw is now threaded. I highly recommend the manufacturing company, otherwise the customer will have to buy something more durable. Haven't heard from…

Quality mirror for your boat

For the money this is a worthy mirror. As others have said, the key is to get a mirror that big. Excellent view of the rear of the boat. This helps when riding a wakeboard, tubing, or anything else. A few areas where I think it could be improved: The spacers included in the kit are hard plastic and may mark on softer materials or chrome. A soft rubber contact piece would be ideal. The handle and the bracket for attaching the mirror are made of plastic. It would be better if it was a more…

Does not lean to the right on sloped Bimini pontoon tracks

Look and Feel after assembly: 5 stars. Has 3 cocking handles. Mirror knob that adjusts the angle of the mirror ball. It rotates 360° around the radius of the circle. It doesn't have much up and down, however. Mounted on a 45° bimini pole, the transom naturally faces the ground on a square post. It's not tilted high enough to accommodate the 45° tilt. You can't see over your stomach. I had to go back. However, let me say this: if I had a horizontal rail or vertical post I would give it 5 stars…

Great rearview mirror - solid and with the right viewing angle

I found it to be very easy to fit to our boat's windshield with its thick (maybe 1 inch) stainless steel frame. I like not having to constantly turn and crane my neck to see if other boats are approaching from behind. We don't tow skiers or tubing but because of the good viewing angle I thought it would be very useful for that too. When we leave our boat, we usually close the cockpit hatch. The mirror has to be dismantled. It only takes a few seconds to detach and reattach the mirror and it is…

Very happy with this mirror!

Purchased and installed on a Malibu Response ski boat. I have fitted the original mirror since I bought the boat (10 years ago). The original mirror was the same size but hung so low on the windshield frame that it got in the way. Not only that, I had to drill holes in the metal to insert the original mirror. After looking at and reading the reviews on this mirror, I decided to give it a try. Now I'm mad at myself for not making this investment years ago. The mirror easily attaches with three…

Large and super functional

When I ordered this mirror I mistakenly thought it was a 4 x 11 mirror so I was surprised at how big it was when it arrived. However, having used it to tow wakeboarders a few times, I'm glad I kept it. I also ordered a 4x11 that was substandard in almost every way (see my review) so I sent it back. First, the 7 x 14 is large enough that you can see most of what's going on behind you. between the two waking states. I can even see them being a little out of bounds. Second, the mounting bracket…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not bad

It's big so you can easily see what's going on. I wanted this because some spotters don't remember saying "Down!" with authority and I have kids and friends of kids who need their sink rate adjusted based on their weight and ability to get up on jet skis and boards, and we go in busy waters so watch out for other boats including those catching 100-foot fishing lines on the planning boards on the sides to keep you on your toes. The first time we went out and ate a solid chop 1.5 "pike" and I had
