Bought these along with others to replace coupler adapters with the HF (Pittsburgh) A/C manifold kit. The low frequency coupler on the HF set doesn't seem to last long. Although it never failed. Also, they just "didn't feel" that they would last much longer. So I got her. After only 3 or 4 uses I decided to pressure test my manifolds, hoses and couplers with nitrogen. This test revealed a ruptured seal on the high side clutch which can be seen in the photos. Couplings must not allow pressure/refrigerant backflow from the hoses. I don't know exactly when or how it happened. It should be noted that one of the ball bearings for attaching the coupling to the adapter in the air conditioning line was missing (see the second photo). to the left of the picture). It was actually missing on the low side pin - I removed the one on the high side to "fix" the low side after finding the problem with that pin. Also, the plugs have a much better "quality feel" than the set I was looking to replace. When connected to the AC line fittings they did not leak at all and closing and opening was a very positive experience. In other words, they worked well. I feel like they suffer from poor quality control and you are more likely to receive a set with the issues I had. Without the problems it would have been easy to get 5 stars. I didn't want to go deeper because they really work and feel better than RF couplers. It might just be a bit of a dice roll in terms of quality.
