I'm sticking this between the battery and the winch. So I don't have to melt the cables or the battery poles in the event of a short circuit or the winch standing still for too long. I do NOT expect this little circuit breaker to work as a $1000+ industrial part. It probably won't handle excessively high inrush current or even full load current for long, so it should be sized larger than you need but small enough to save on your wiring. I wouldn't use it as a load regulator switch either. I turn it off when I'm working on the winch, but don't turn it off when it's carrying a significant load current. I wouldn't reset it to the "on" position when a load is connected. The task of contactors is to generate and separate the load current.
