Shocked by cheap materials

When I was removing the adapter from one bike rack to install it on another, I pulled out the screws that held the hold rear brackets in place. I can't believe something designed for a child seat can be made out of what looks like plastic bolts. I am appalled that I drove around town with my child in something so cheap. I contacted Thule support and also this seller about the issue. I love the Thule car seat myself, but that adapter sucks.
