New firmware required to work on large networks from 2021-09

Update 2: After almost a month of correspondence with the support I finally found a technician. The engineer was very experienced and systematically helped to check and test a number of settings and finally decided to download the beta firmware and load it onto the first lamp. I've completed the rest of the updates and so far it's been stable for a day. Lots of work to get to this point, hope they release a general update soon. Update 1: I've tried it before, after reading a few reviews I can confirm what others have learned that if you have a big house with lots of hotspots, or mine that's old and has heavy stucco walls, so I have multiple hotspots. Not working. Lightbulbs have a bug that prevents them from connecting when broadcasting the same SSID on multiple access points. As a test, I set up a hotspot with a new SSID and plugged my phone and a lightbulb into it and it worked fine, but this solution isn't very good. I don't want to set up a separate SSID just for these lamps on each AP and also for my main SSID. Original Rating: So I'm now 0 out of 8 on these lights for not using a workaround. 2 got a firmware update on startup, then disconnected from the network and changed their name to the default TP-LINK_Smart Bulb_XXXX, after which they went gray and couldn't connect anymore. The other two got to the point where I could rename them, then they got "something went wrong" and they never got to rename them. All 4 were actually stuck at this point, but toggling 2 on and off and waiting for them to flash did the trick and they were able to pull through. But I've got an hour and 10 minutes and so far it's pretty much junk compared to MANY other TP-Link switches, dimmers, normal and 3-way, lots of normal switched outlets and around 8 watts. Test sockets, surge test strips, simple 3 output surge strips, a pair of outdoor sockets and a pair of color changing bulbs. Pretty much EVERYTHING else works great in perfect harmony with Alexa and some simple easy IFTTT scripts. I'm going to cycle another lightbulb with a second between each cycle to reset it again, and then I'll have another 10 minutes to watch as it tries to reconnect to the mains. Let's hope this is a bad batch and buggy firmware. Another complaint I have about TP-Links support is that when you email you get 1 and only 1 response per day, luckily a previous faulty product I had was from Revain, and I could return it for a full refund from them, otherwise TP Link wanted to charge you for the return postage. After 2 hours I deduct a star as they don't even work like lightbulbs even if they burn out. They have an annoying blinking, maybe once a minute. I have documented my findings and troubleshooting steps and opened a ticket. I was so confident in how well all my TP-Link gear had worked so far that I had already tossed the crates for recycling and just wanted to fish them out of the can.
