What I really like is that there is a hot section and a cold section. I typically microwave in 30 second increments for a total of 2 minutes. So far it hasn't been seen expanding as if it's about to explode, but I was sure there weren't any problems. We use Rubbermaid Brilliance containers and after you put them all on the bottom you can add 1 container for 2.3 cups. This works well for a main course and a side of veggies, macaroni and cheese, or whatever. I use a small freezer bag on top to keep food cold. It's slanted so you can't store so many things at the top. I really wish they had made it rectangular to maximize storage space even if it was uglier. So far it has kept food both cold and hot during lunch hours. At the end of the day, hot and cold turns into warm at best, but the bag certainly gets the job done. did a very good job. No rips, tears or damage although some have been thrown. Time will tell, but it seems very well made.
