The best accessory for sharpening knives!

Update (March 15): I added these 6mm spring washers between the nut and regular flat washer to make hand tightening easier and to lock the bolt in place rather than when sharpening to solve. I hope that the manufacturer replaces the washers with spring washers of this type so that buyers do not have to change this, otherwise it would be a perfect product. ------ Ever since I got my first set of sharpening stones, I've been looking for the best way to correct sharpening angles. everything else is either too expensive or too flimsy, or they use entirely different whetstones with too cheap or too expensive and won't let me use my own set of stones. This device allows me to use my own stones and the angle is maintained throughout the sharpening process, not just on one end of the stone. I also allow infinite settings for different knives. I received this product this morning. It took a bit of tweaking and measuring before I got the right angle. It would be a lot easier if it had its own digital meter and angle display. A phone app or digital angle gauge is required to pair this product. Once the angle is set on both sides, the actual sharpening time for me is much shorter compared to my poor freehand technique. This allows me to focus fully on repetitive actions instead of worrying about the angle shift as I push and pull the knife. I was able to perfectly sharpen 3 knives in 45 minutes. Ideally you should check the angle for each individual mesh stone as you climb up the mesh as they wear out at different rates. Place a paper towel under the screw head. You can also place everything on a large cutting board so you don't scratch anything.
