As with all reviews before me, I can confirm this works on PS2 with a PS1 game when inserted when prompted. I'm so glad I read the reviews on this guide. My Experience - I recently started playing Driver again and forgot how excruciating the learning curve was. After passing the test and starting to play, I reached about four levels and decided to save my game. I couldn't because I had 2 PS2 memory cards inserted in the slots. So I came here and found this bad boy. As soon as it arrived I removed the PS2 card and ran the driver again, passed the tutorial on the first try and was prompted to SAVE the game. So I put the card in and a window appeared on the screen saying the card wasn't formatted. then i waited 30 seconds and a new window came up asking what do you want to format? and I chose. The game is perfectly preserved and now I'm driving to restaurants and chasing L trains like I should, what's next? Save the President and of course win the game! Then we go to Driver 2 and also save on this card. Just follow the instructions and it works great.
