Good tool if you have the right saw

Determining the actual cutting position is easier if your saw has a laser to indicate the cutting line. Laser. All moldings are measured to the bottom edge of the molding, and in this template that edge is down, away from where the saw blade enters the piece to be cut. If you don't have a laser on the saw, you need to consistently position the jig on the saw to both the left and right side of the saw guard and then know exactly how far from a specific spot on the jig the blade will cut. Part. This is a tricky task, but once you know the location, slicing is fairly accurate and relatively quick. Use a protractor and measure the actual angle for best results. Most angles are 90 degrees, but some are not.
