It's dangerous. I've had them for about 1 year (only used maybe 8 months because the mat and springs are removed in the winter months) and they broke! While my kids were jumping, and I'm not kidding, the feather flew up in the air and literally sliced through my friend's son's chest! Then, of course, the feather fell onto the mat and cut a hole in it! You can not do it. Now I have to buy a new trampoline because I don't want to risk those cheap springs with a new mat. I seriously can't believe these metal springs are so cheap they break! Do not buy! Btw, my kids are only 8 and 10 years old so we're not talking about a ton of weight these springs can break.
