Review on MiLocks DKK 02SN Electronic Touchpad Keyless by Black Croom

After having great success with my Schlage keyless entry for my main front and back doors, I wanted to do the same for my bedroom doors as I host at short notice and people lose keys. . As such, the build quality feels a little amateurish, as if the company is still figuring out how to ship it to its overseas factory. I have five of these at home, including my bedroom, and the breakdown is this: My bedroom works. ok, except that in addition to my code, the "00" digits also unlock it (um, not good). The two bedrooms are fine, although they (and the rest) tend to eat batteries for breakfast. In fact, they must be changed monthly; probably because there is a motor that spins things while Schlage only 'allows' the unlock action and the end user spins everything anyway. The other bedroom seems to fall short in terms of its reliability, in terms of the motor not working fully, and one last room, the motor is stuck, it doesn't turn the lock cylinder fully, basically doesn't work for its main purpose; Note this one has been in its box for a while, not sure if it got hit but still. I've received panic calls from roommates so frequently that I just give them the key and advise them to treat it like a normal doorknob with a lock and never turn it without the key at hand. So basically saying I could just get one of the many regular lockable interior knobs available at any hardware store. Finally, the website and YouTube channel are totally inadequate. There is nowhere to get pdf instructions or even code setup info (at the time of last check) and the videos on the youtube channel just seem to emphasize the "hobbyist" vibe this product seems to convey . Do it again, I would not buy this product. I cannot speak for other products with an internal locking handle as I have only used them; but they don't seem ready for prime time.
