These extra long hooked pliers went deep into the caliper where normal pliers couldn't, allowing me to fix my old Mazda rear disc brake caliper. Inside the cylinder, a C-clamp secures the lower end of a bolted worm gear, which adjusts and pulls out the piston. It has to come out to replace the o-ring, but the gear and narrow barrel block the reach of regular and even extra long snap ring pliers. For this work, rectangular pliers are created. It's not fancy machine-polished or shiny chrome; They make it easy and will probably save me some pinching problems in other tight spaces.
