Review on πŸ”₯ Chandler Tool Hot Glue Gun Kit: Full Size 60 Watt Industrial Hot Melt Gun with 12 Glue Sticks and Patented Stand-Up Base Stand - Perfect for Arts, Crafts, and DIY Projects (Pink) by Tara Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very satisfied, works great and gets strong after prolonged use.

I waited to review until I used it a lot. I figured it would burn out eventually. I probably heated this thing up for a few hundred hours and built it out of styrofoam. I leave it on for several hours when building styrofoam RC airplanes, sometimes all day. I even forgot about it and left it on for 24 hours. I give it 5 stars because it met all expectations and then some. It heats the glue to bubble but doesn't burn it, which allows for a bit of labor time positioning parts before the glue sets. DON'T GET YOUR FINGERS! It WILL blow you! It will melt some foam insulation or styrofoam, but works well with foam board. It also doesn't drip like some of those little cheap things and it delivers glue smoothly. I figured that now given the hours of use I'll buy another glue gun. It just keeps going and I hope it keeps going. The only thing I don't like is the large plastic nozzle. But I eventually found that with a little effort it would come loose and reveal a narrower, more precise metal cap underneath. This is NOT your little craft glue gun. While I've only used it for foam so can't vouch for other uses, I can say it's for serious hobbyists, hobbyists, etc. I would like to add that I don't like the glue sticks that came with the kit. but 12 Arrow brand all-purpose chopsticks, available at Lowe's or Home Depot, work great.
