It actually got better than I thought. I looked at MANY different "wood slices". Most were too expensive for a piece of wood in my opinion. I bought a pinecone centerpiece with a glass ball. I used it for a rustic look. In addition, I place a flickering flameless candle in the middle part. This piece of wood is the right size and fits perfectly. It really adds to the beauty of the centerpiece. worth about $15 I spent on it compared to the $35-$70 others wanted for their "wood slices". For me the thickness is perfect. Sizes/roundness are very consistent. I think it looks good for what I use it for!
