Review on πŸ’‘ JULLISON Daylight Dimmable Recessed Fixture by Roberta Johnson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The smallest profile on the inside makes the installation as clean as possible, and it is also desirable to use longer mounting screws.

The cleanest unit with the lowest back panel I have ever seen. That means there is no stress on the 14 gram wires in the ceiling box unless they are pushed. The plain blue plastic ceiling box with this backlight was the easiest installation I have ever experienced. For the 6" LED I used a 4-1/4" ceiling box hole saw and it looks very clean with no ceiling gap. I used a rebuilt/old 4" diameter work blanket box that worked fine. [Update] I bought the Ostwin model for comparison. Ostwing has a scalloped edge versus Jullison's tapered edge and I will be buying both. Ostwing supplies both long and short mounting bolts and that helps. Jullison ships with standard size screws only. to get to the ceiling, dropping 5 stars to 4 stars.

Pros
  • ● ENERGY SAVING: 6" design, DOB, driverless, 7 1/2" with outer fairing, 120 VAC power supply. Power consumption equivalent to a 65W incandescent lamp.
Cons
  • Long wait
