I had problems with leg swelling and the first pair of support tubes I turned to were too tight to fit to fit. over my calves. These softer compression stockings are supportive and help reduce swelling and because they fit over my calves I can actually wear them. I suppose tighter compression would have been better, but I couldn't tighten it - and it didn't help. They make my feet feel more comfortable after a day teaching fifth graders, and four packs means I always have clean socks to wear. (They dry quickly and I just toss them in the washing machine on delicate/cold and lay them on a blanket to dry.)
