Review on πŸ‘’ Black Helmet Liner Skull Cap Beanie with Ear Covers - Optimal Thermal Retention, Moisture Wicking for Running, Cycling, Skiing & Winter Sports. Ideal as Under Helmet Gear by Brian Summers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great hat for the price! Plugged my ears when others didn't!

I bought this to wear under a bike helmet when cycling in winter. My previous liner hat was the more expensive Pearl Izumi hat which was good but didn't adequately cover my ears despite the ear buds. I used a thin earflap under the cap to ensure my ears were covered but thought this was getting silly and went in search of an earcap that did what it was supposed to. After much deliberation I bought this one. The cheap price was attractive (about ten dollars) and the photos in the ad looked like they would cover the ears completely. After using the hat for a couple of weeks in fairly cold weather (more use than I normally need for a full hat!) I can say that it works pretty well, but not quite perfectly. The flaps COMPLETELY cover my ears! But they also fold back from my head in a weird way so my ears still get a little cold just wearing a hat. However, I like it enough that an unexpected improvement over my previous cap is that the seams are very flat so I don't have seams cutting into my head in a helmet. Pros: Definitely big enough. I wear a size 7 beanie - not too big for me but definitely fits a bigger head than mine. Polyester fabric is soft and moisture wicking. close your ears! Very approachable. Cons: The ear cups recede a bit, reducing coverage. No problem for big heads.

Pros
  • Ready to use: Wear our helmet cap alone or under your helmet. Wear it snowboarding or skiing. Wear it while running, working out or playing football. Damn, put it on when you do the laundry. It's so light and comfortable you'll forget you're wearing it. Like you, this skullcap is ready to go.
