Best upgrade I could have done. Worth the extra cost, hands down! I bought 2 ball valves for my old home brewery, they included baffles and gaskets. In short, they have been used many times and it is always difficult for us to prevent leakage. When I bought a new kettle, I was determined to find the best one. I have reused my ball valves and other gear but bought these bulkheads. Seal them with a built-in washer and nut that fits best. They shouldn't be too tight, the hole is a bit larger, but it's worth it as the inside of the baffle has female threads for accessories inside the kettle. The bulkhead perfectly repeats the rounded shape of the kettle.
