This is exactly what I need to convert my 10 gallon Rubbermaid (Home Depot) beverage cooler into a brew mash tun. One end has 1/2" male NPT threads for attaching to a ball valve, the other end has 1/2" female NPT threads for attaching a hose plug (on the double bottom). The hex and washer in the center of the nipple are integrated, so only one gasket is required on the outside. Good product!

This bulkhead connector is awful! Integrated flange and flat seal ensure maximum sealing surface even with large bores. (see caution). I used two and the installation is very easy.
