Review on Homebrewers Outpost H726 Bulkhead FPT: Streamline Your Homebrewing Process with this High-Quality Essential by Tommy Russo

This thing won't leak, but it does require a 1 inch hole.

This bulkhead connector is awful! Integrated flange and flat seal ensure maximum sealing surface even with large bores. (see caution). I used two and the installation is very easy. HOWEVER, one caveat. This port requires a 1" hole instead of the usual 13/16" hole found in most kettles. You will need a good quality double flanged SHARP plug. Step drill to enlarge the bore and remove burrs Sealing is done on the outside of the boiler or tank with a flat silicone sealing washer Inside a large washer is mounted in front of the nut to prevent seizing to the boiler wall or tank. This flange can be used on a plastic tank but I haven't tried it. Internally there is a female NPT thread that accepts a torpedo filter mesh directly or requires a nipple if the dip tube requires a male extension. Recommended for large pots or those (e.g. GasOne) that have a smoother pot curve. Not recommended for replacing an already working flange unless you want a major upgrade.
