I just love them! All my items have arrived in perfect condition. They are smooth so no sanding is required. The description says sealed. I just used the podge mod before painting. I had no problems with woodchips as seen in other woodchip reviews. You won't get exactly the same size, so don't expect it. I liked that each piece was unique. Some had a distinct character due to the shape of the bark. I received them with the intention of making jewelry. And they are the perfect size for her. Even the thickness was exactly what you would expect from a piece of jewellery. They are not heavy. So don't worry about weighing down your branches.
