So close but not quite.

Everything about this product is absolutely perfect, but it's not. It's perfect for a batch of pasta, perfect for rinsing fruit, perfect for washing veggies, perfect for rinsing sticky Legos! Ideal for so many things. But that's not the case. There's one thing that's killing me. hole placement. Obviously, the location of the holes on the product, intended for draining liquid from solids, is an important point. Unfortunately, I found that the bottom holes on this screen are too high. There is too much space between the bottom of the strainer and the lowest hole through which liquid flows. When I drain the food and transfer it to a bowl, I find that there is still a significant amount of water left in the strainer. After further use, I noticed that the water stagnates every time because there are no holes deep enough at the bottom to let the residual water drain out when the colander is drained. sieve useless? no It's a cute little gadget, but I really can get the same results with a bowl and one hand, or a slotted spoon. I was disappointed. If the holes were a little lower, closer to the bottom, this would be the perfect strainer.
