Review on MATCHFIT Dado Stop Pro MICROJIG by Dejuan Stott

Works but very expensive

Build didn't take long although my first cuts were good and it turns out pretty accurate grooving but the mount is very expensive AND custom made in the future he will have to spend more money when he changes blades. To install the bracket you will need to cut a small section off the leveling piece. This allows the bracket to fit the blade you have on your saw and not any other blade. If you change the blade, you need to buy another alignment part. Can't tell if they are sold anywhere. Even after you've made a good cut on the template, the alignment won't be perfect. The user must fix the part to be grooved and align it on the template. When things don't go perfectly, Dado becomes unfaithful. In addition, the jig is designed to allow the carpenter to make multiple passes with a standard saw blade, typically one-eighth of an inch wide. This means that all dados, regardless of their width and number, have to be cut in several passes, which makes many jobs very tedious. The device is terribly expensive, especially when you consider that you may have to purchase additional parts for alignment. There are DIY fixings on U-tubes that can be made out of a piece of wood and do the same thing. Much cheaper, for example, to make them for a dollar. These U-tube mounts also use the multi-pass concept. AD2
