Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Kamik Unisex Riptide Rain White Outdoor Shoes for Boys by Chris Meckler

Revainrating 2 out of 5

4 months and the soles have shot through!

I slipped in a pair of backpacker-weight Superfeet insoles and enjoyed my youthful size 5 (usually women's size 7) boots while strolling the city's sidewalks and gravel paths (and big puddles!) in the bird sanctuary, five days a week at 35- 45 . minutes per session. Within four months the soles wore out and went through the first layer of material, especially on the heels; and portions of the tread were unevenly worn elsewhere. They aren't licking yet, but I don't find them comfortable to walk on anymore. I am a 5 foot, 77 year old, average weight female. Good thing they can be recycled! But hard on the budget! I was hoping for at least a year. Good boots and basically good. I was tempted to buy another pair just to see if the lemons were mine. But maybe they're planned that way because Kamik expects kids to outgrow their boots in six months?

Pros
  • True to size, very durable
Cons
  • The sole may detach from the shoe after prolonged use.
