My motherboard does not support NVMe RAID and I had to look for a similar solution. I'm using an ASUS x299 board, so be aware my experience might be different. Just make sure you follow the instructions, I forgot a step and didn't enable a setting in my BIOS which made the process take a lot longer. Once I had that, I just created a RAID and installed Windows. That being said, I had some driver issues installing Windows, but after a few reboots (painful, but whatever) it installed and I had no problems with it. My read/write performance has doubled, which is good, but I was mainly looking for a place that would give me RAID0. The shield generates some heat, much more than I expected, but it's not a big issue and hasn't caused any problems with my system. I will update my review later if I have any further thoughts or concerns.
