This picture frame is a great example of low end craftsmanship. At first glance, what I received has at least six flaws, any one of which is enough to detract from any photo or artwork that gets framed. I have attached an image with areas circled in red highlighting these issues. Start in the top left corner and move clockwise. The upper left corner has a dent. There is a notch in the center of the top inner edge. The lower outer edge is dented. In the lower left corner is what looks like a water stain. There is too much paint or glue in the lower left corner, making it uneven compared to other corners. There is another water stain and another dent on the inner left edge. The overall color quality is uneven. There are a few scratches on the surface. The paint itself is so blotchy/blotchy like there are freckles on the frame. This is not a wood grain problem, but a poor finish, either from cheap paint or poor drying conditions. The frame feels solid enough and the plexiglass is in decent shape, but that doesn't make up for the poor build quality. I will be returning mine and ordering a replacement hoping the bad frame passed quality control. I will update this review when I receive a replacement. Hope it gets better. ***Edit*** I recently received a replacement. This is better than the original photo frame I received but I'm sticking with my 2 star rating. The quality of the color on this frame is much more consistent and it looks better but still has some minor blemishes that suggest it has something to do with the manufacturing process. Although this frame is better, it still has 5 minor dents on the outside edges and 3 pinhole defects on the front of the frame. Fortunately, they are all small and not immediately noticeable at a normal viewing distance. If they were worse I would send them back and switch to a different product. For $14 I think it's a good deal, but don't expect to be surprised.
