I am installing a wired basement for long term use. Quality TVs and a few gaming systems, and like most basements, lots of static and noise due to Wi-Fi interference. A good 8-port switch and these cables will solve most problems. The length and protection are very good. Class 8 provides static-free cable routing. (Remember to make sure the connectors and switch have shielded ports). Also, the best way is to place the network unit in a central location and run a dedicated 20 amp line to it for clean power and grid power. Wire up the modem, and then carefully place the switch in the box and pull the wires out of the box. Nice and tidy. A network box can be as simple as lining the space between two posts with plywood and flush with the posts. Drill some vent holes and wire holes and you're done by the time you complete this area. Set the switch to plywood.
