I'm quite impressed with this sander. A random orbit sander is a must-have tool in any woodworker's collection, and this one is surprisingly good for the price. In fact, at the highest speed setting, it's perhaps even more powerful than I prefer. But fortunately it's a variable speed machine, so you can fine-tune it according to the kind of work you're doing.It comes with a small set of sanding discs in a variety of grits to get you started, though you'll want to stock up on more relatively quickly. I'm happy to report that I also have no problem with these sanding discs. They work just as well as one would expect and grip properly to the sander.The one issue I had was with the dust collection mechanism. It does come with both a dust bag and a vacuum hose attachment, which made me quite happy. And actually the dust collection mechanism itself works reasonably well. The bag works about as well as any bag ever does, but for best results you'll want to hook it to your shop vac. I found that it works quite well with my shop vac, so I'm happy about that. However, the connection holding the vacuum hose to the sander feels pretty cheap, and I found that the hose would regularly come disconnected while working. Not a terribly big deal--it just snaps back into place--but a bit of an annoyance.Despite that one flaw, though, I still recommend this sander. It's especially good for the price.
