Dangerous sharp edges
These oven thermometers have dangerously sharp edges. My wife and I cut our hands (to the point of deep lacerations and blood) with these devices. The circumference around the thermometer surrounding it is sharp as a knife. Just the handling caused cuts and cuts. Trying to stick them in the oven is even more dangerous. I wouldn't recommend them at all, there are much safer options out there.
