Review on 🔧 Dorman 749-542 Front Driver Side Window Regulator for Ford/Lincoln Models: Unmatched Quality and Precision by Kyle Miller

Two problems with this unit - it didn't come fully assembled and the material wasn't strong. The two slides were not attached to the main block and had to be clipped together - luckily I had the old one to look at. The worst thing was that the material was weak. The screws (none of which came with the unit) didn't seem to go in smoothly and were most likely cross-threaded. The clip above where the doorknob clips broke when I pulled it apart to secure the handle pin. in place. I was careful, but it broke anyway. At this point the entire regulator is fitted and the only way to fix this is to replace the entire unit. I had to adjust Jerry to make it work (see photo of the old clip and the new one I had to fix with screws - the glue wouldn't stick). For €90 I expected more.
