Writing information onto this disc is getting hot! This is normal as NVME consumes power to write data. And since the case also acts as a cooler, don't touch it, it will be hot to the touch. When you read information, you can touch it. It will be warm to the touch but not scalding. It takes less energy to read information, so it doesn't get as hot. Nonetheless. It's written very quickly. It took 20 minutes to write a little less than a tarabit of information on it via the USB-C port. And yes, it felt hot because of it. Two points where this product could be improved is opening the case. I don't think sliding to open is a good option as it could damage the thermal pads if they stick to the NVME drive now. Another, slightly better check. Tiny screw makes no sense to stop. I can keep turning this shovel and it will never stop. The case is still closed, but the screw will loosen over time. Nonetheless, it's a great product! The read speed is what I expected for gaming, movies and other data, as is the write speed. I can't help but mention this, it will fry when writing to NVME, which is normal as the case doubles as a heatsink. Maybe they could come out with a silicone grip version?
