These are good knee pads, not bulky at all. They have a nice low profile. They look good even if their coverage area is small. These thin shields are better suited if you want a sleek look plus some protection (no repeat hits for literally hours)! You look really sharp. Please don't do what my husband did and don't take these caves if you have to crawl more than a mile! If you use them for serious cave crawling you're going to have a bad time. I'm not deducting a star from them, even if they haven't done him very well. After all, that's not what they're made for. For caving, I recommend the Trace Volleyball Knee Pads, which look sillier than these but offer good protection. Incredibly, however, all that bullying didn't break those kneecaps. They have been washed and look like new!
